TomTom   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.

TomTom offers the following major features:
  • Set waypoints via command, or by clicking on the world map
  • A draggable coordinate display with customizable accuracy. This frame can be hidden or locked.
  • Player and cursor coordinates on the World Map (these can be hidden)
  • A floating "crazy-taxi" style arrow that points you to your destination
  • Displaying the "crazy-taxi" arrow or coordinate block in compatible LDB displays (such as NinjaPanel)
  • Show a waypoint that points you towards your corpse for easy recovery
Please also check out LightHeaded: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ghtHeaded.html
Slash Commands:
/tomtom - Opens configuration GUI

In addition you can use the /way command to add and reset waypoints. In order to overcome conflicts with the Cartographer /way command, you can also use /tway to access TomTom's waypoint command. The following slash commands are available:

Add a new waypoint at 14.78, 23.90:
Code:
/way 14.78 23.90
Add a new waypoint in Nagrand at 45, 50:
Code:
/way Nagrand 45 50
Add a new waypoint with a description:
Code:
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
Remove ALL current waypoints:
Code:
/way reset all
Remove all waypoints in Nagrand:
Code:
/way reset Nagrand
Set a waypoint at the current location:
Code:
/wayb
or
Code:
/wayback
Set the waypoint arrow to the closest arrow in the current zone:
Code:
/cway
or
Code:
/closestway
When you set a waypoint, a dot will appear (green) on your minimap. When it goes out of range of the minimap display, it will turn into an arrow, just like the default UI. You can mouse over these waypoints to get detailed information about that waypoint.

TomTom has been designed to publish the Crazy-Arrow and Coordinate Block as LDB feeds, allowing them to be displayed in compatible display addons. I've written a very simple, easy-to-configure panel that is capable of displaying these called NinjaPanel.

It's always grayed out for me and I was wondering if this is in development as a future option or if I and my party member are missing something.

I apologize if there is something I haven't read that would have explained this to me. Again, thanks for the hard work and making WOW a lot easier to navigate and get quests done.
Its not coded, but will be in the next release.

To explain it better :

- I choose a quest giver in LightHeaded , and i see its position (ex : 55,45). The quest giver is in Netherstorm

-Strangely , the way point is added in Nagrand. (55,45) , but the quest giver is not there but well in Netherstorm.

I 'm using the french translation of LightHeaded and also Cartographer + all mods.

Any help to fix this ?
Perhaps theres a localization issue between versions of the game.. I'll have to look into it, I'm not entirely sure.

however, I used to be able to display the large arrow (with comment if needed) by simply typing /way XX YY however, all that does now is add an arrow to my minimap, which i dont need. I really want the large arrow to work like it used to for manual entries...do u have any ideas on what's wrong?

have tried both current and old versions of tomtom and lightheaded w/no change.

thanks!
It seems you are getting your addons confused. TomTom only displays arrows on the minimap, through the /way command, and through clicks in LightHeaded. Cartographer_Waypoints displays the large arrow, and I believe it uses the /way command as well. It would appear that before your Cart might have been overriding TomTom's /way command.

In short, you have two conflicting addons that serve similar purposes. I'll try to fix this with an update to TomTom, but I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to get it released.
You are confusing addons, Cartographer_Waypoints

It doesn't..

I managed to insert a function into tomtom.lua which does exactly what I want. Unfortunately I can't use the macro when the world map is active. ><

So I guess I'll just wait for you to implement that. ^^

Because I'd like to have a macro that creates a waypoint at the current mouse cursor position in the world map window.
Try control-rightclicking?

If that doesn't work.. it will soon enough.

On a unrelated note, big fan of all your mods. <3
Typing /tomtom coord will hide the display.
